Love Island star Georgia Harrison had defended a now-deleted Instagram post and described how the comments were "really offensive".

The reality star, 26, shared a post to her 1.1million Instagram fans on Friday showing her standing in her underwear while drinking a bottle of electrolyte water.

However, Georgia has since taken to social media to defend her diet and described how "people are just such keyboard warriors" and the comments were giving her "anxiety".

The brunette penned: "Took down my last post because people are just such keyboard warriors that it gave me anxiety.

"But one, I wasn't paid to promote anything in that post I was just proud of my personal results.

"And two, I don't think weight loss should be seen as a negative if it is done in a healthy way with exercise and healthy food. Should people not be allowed to lose weight?"

She continued: "I spent the week training, eating healthy and walking everywhere instead of getting taxis. When I go to healthy bootcamps for a week or two it's no different.

"Yes, weight loss tablets, starving yourself and eating disorders are unhealthy but exercise, protein and electrolytes really aren't."

Speaking in a face mask during a flight, Georgia said: "The amount of people saying I have got an eating disorder, I am trying to be quiet because I am on a plane, so ridiculous in that post.

She added: "It is actually so rude and so ridiculous and actually really, really offensive. I have got so many people saying just because you are not underweight doesn't mean you don't have an eating disorder.

"That is the sort of thing that would give someone an eating disorder it is rude and it is upsetting and I think people need to be more careful with what they write to be honest."

Georgia also explained that she got the metrics wrong in her now-deleted post after writing that she had "lost 5 kilos in one week" as opposed to 5lbs.

She wrote: "OMG reading my DMs and also realised I put 5kg but I mean lbs. But still, I am sure people will have a problem with that. Was in flight so didn't read it before.

"Last thing and I am done here. There are so many celebrities that publicly promote surgery for weight loss (not judging just comparing) and that to use is all, okay?"

"But healthy weight loss isn't? I even heard a girl say the other day that the only way to get bottom belly fat off is through surgery - it can't be achieved by training and that is just so not true.

"And I want my followers to know they can achieve anything they want with the right mindset and training."

Georgia, who is director of GHX style, added: "The hostess just came over and said: 'If it helps, I'll tell them about the extra bread roll you ordered.' I'm cracking up."

Georgia had captioned the post: "I lost 5 Kilo's in one week! I've always been someone who doesn't mind fluctuating in weight and that's because i know for a fact i have the mindset to burn it off quickly and efficiently.

"Using @wowhydrate drinks as a great way of assisting my training i lost 5k in a week and i still snuck in a cheeky pasta here and there!"

Georgia continued: "It's easy to avoid documenting progress for the fear it might be too honest with you and ruin your day if it doesn't depict the result you wanted but at the end of the day if you want to reach your goal you have to be able to physically see your progress and this for me this was a great way of doing so.

"My @wowhydrate drinks were absolutely needed alongside a calorie deficit.

"Also just to make it clear i don't think i'm fat i'm anyway at the start both are normal healthy weights but for LA i wanted to be really toned and healthy." [sic]

Former TOWIE star Maria Fowler criticised Georgia's original post and commented: "Sorry, you seem like a lovely girl but this is so irresponsible for your young following.

"Eating disorders are rife and social media only adds to that pressure.

"I know you probably don't realise this as I'm sure you wouldn't have done it intentionally."

Georgia responded to the post by the fellow reality star, writing: "To be fair I didn't even read all of the comments but she should know better than to be trolling after all the stuff she's had to put up with in the media. It's not my style."
