"President Trump is not participating in Bob Woodward's book," Trump spokesman Jason Miller told Politico.
Woodward, who exposed the Watergate scandal in the 1970s with Carl Bernstein, is teaming up with Washington Post colleague Robert Costa to write a follow-up to his bestselling Rage focused on the final phase of the Trump administration and President Joe Biden's first days in office.
Trump participated in 18 interviews with Woodward for Rage, which was published in September 2020 by Simon & Schuster, and faced a wave of backlash, particularly for his comments about downplaying the severity of the coronavirus pandemic in its earliest days.
Miller, an adviser to Trump, said last month that Trump would be the "star" in dozens of books following his four years in the White House.

The latest report on Friday said Trump has been interviewed by Fire and Fury author Michael Wolff, as well as New York Times reporters Jeremy Peters and Maggie Haberman at the former president's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, for their books.
Simon & Schuster did not immediately return a request for comment from the Washington Examiner, and Politico reported neither did Woodward nor Costa.
