When new legends arrive in the Apex Legends universe, there is always a buzz. Some times they are too weak, others too strong. Either way you cannot please everyone, but usually it dies down once people actually start to play the legend instead of just speculating.
Respawn Entertainment announced the arrival of the new legend Valkyrie for the new Season 9 of Apex Legends, and the response was no different. While enthralled with her backstory, there was some speculation as to just how her abilities might shape up.
It is not just fans as well who are wondering just how Valkyrie will fare. A developer over at Respawn Entertainment admitted in this Reddit thread, that they were worried that "she might be too strong." Daniel Klein is well known for interacting with fans and answering questions and this time was no different:
"Oh, she'll be strong. Terrified right now she might be too strong, but I've called my shots and now all we can do is wait."
It almost sounds like there might be some concern over at Respawn as to how Valkyrie will be received for Season 9. Hopefully, the goodwill Valkyrie is collecting will continue even if she does turn out to be a bit overpowered, and while a nerf may be in the future for this particular legend, we are sure that it will not stop people from falling in love with Valkyrie.
