Barisic responded in blunt fashion.
The Croatian international said: "It's the biggest joke I've heard this season".
Manager Steven Gerrard noted: "In football, everyone is entitled to their own view. I don't focus on anyone outside Rangers. On the 15th May, we will lift our 55th title and I will be the proudest man on the planet."
