Jamie Carragher has put a case forward saying why Liverpool is the ideal destination for Erling Haaland this summer.
The Borussia Dortmund striker is one of the most sought after talents in world football at the moment, with seemingly all of Europe's biggest clubs after his signature.
Liverpool have been credited with an interest in the Norway international, along with the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Where Haaland's future lies is still not known, but Carragher has argued why it should be at Anfield.
Working as a pundit for CBS Sports' coverage of the Champions League on Wednesday night, Carragher was asked to put forward a case why Liverpool should be Haaland's next home.
"I think Haaland should come to Liverpool, because it's his type of football," Carragher said, as he began his pitch for the striker to join his former club.
He added: "Basically heavy metal football, he relies on his pace and his power. That's the type of football that Liverpool play.
"Who would not want to play in front of the Kop?
"Liverpool, energy, Champions League football nights."
It was at this point when Micah Richards interrupted Carragher, and questioned his colleague's response.
Richards said: "Champions League football? Past tense?
Carragher then replied: "He will sign a four or five-year deal, do not worry about next season.
"Name me a better stadium for Champions League nights than Anfield, no one even turns up at Man City," Carragher cheekily responded.
He continued: "Liverpool is the place for him, one of the iconic clubs in world football, six times European champions."
