What a difference a rain delay makes.

Play at the 2021 Masters Tournament was delayed roughly an hour and 15 minutes on the afternoon of roundSaturday, and no golfer took greater advantage of the softened playing conditions than Hideki Matsuyama, who shot a 7-under 65 on moving day to move into sole possession of first place at 11 under par. The round included four birdies and an eagle on the back nine, part of the first bogey-free round of the Masters this week.

Asked how he spent the 77-minute weather delay, Matsuyama said: "I sat in my car looking at my cell phone."

Take notes, golfers.

Justin Rose, the overnight leader at 7 under, stood pat with an even-par 72 Saturday. He was joined by Xander Schauffele (4-under 68 in Round 3), Marc Leishman (2-under 70) and Will Zalatoris (1-under 71) in a tie for second place.
