World No 1 Dustin Johnson surged clear to win the rearranged tournament just five short months ago and - following Thursday's first round - he is again drawn with Lee Westwood and US Amateur champion Tyler Strafaci on Day 2.

Rory McIlroytoiled on Day 1 as his hopes of completing the career Grand Slam took a hit, while big-hitter Bryson DeChambeau also struggled in the opening round, lacking finesse and finding the trees on more than one occasion.
Elsewhere, Jordan Spieth, who ended his trophy drought at last week's Valero Texas Open, endured an up-and-down day in the opening round and is again drawn with Cameron Smith, who finished second last year, and PGA Champion Collin Morikawa.

The Masters began Thursday 8 April and will conclude on Sunday 11 April.
