Kate Garraway fought back tears on Good Morning Britain on Friday as she spoke about her husband Derek Draper being back at home.
The 53-year-old spoke to Ben Shephard and Ranvir Singh via video link from her London home and appeared very giddy as she gave them an update.
Recalling the moment that Derek arrived home on Thursday and the plan for his recovery, Kate was grinning from ear-to-ear despite admitting she hadn't slept much last night.

The Good Morning Britain host has been so used to putting out just three plates for over a year, that she became overwhelmed with emotion when she finally got to put four down instead.
"I realised I was putting four plates down. It makes me cry now, it's such a silly little thing," Kate said, as she fought back tears, but Ranvir was quick to tell her that it wasn't "silly at all". © ITVBen Shephard and Ranvir Singh were keen to get an update from Kate on Derek's first night back home
Kate continued: "It feels like the start of a huge chapter. He can't really move, we do need a lot of help. It's a very unique situation.
"But we're very grateful for this level and not losing him."
The mum-of-two admitted that she hadn't slept much last night: 'That will ease off but I'm very aware at the moment."
Kate also recalled the emotional moment Derek arrived home and how their two kids reacted. © ITVDerek Draper spent more than a year in hospital after contracting coronavirus
"I could see two little faces looking out the window," Kate explained.
Darcey and Billy then ran outside and burst into tears, with Kate adding: "That's when he knew he was home."
