Many of us will have suffered some form of hair or skin problem during this lockdown, and Trinny Woodall has just revealed that she's not exempt from these issues either.

The TV presenter, 57, shared a look at a large mass of hair she found after taking a shower.

Trinny gave Instagram followers a close-up look at the clump of hair, as she revealed her horror at seeing her strands fall out.

"This came out of my hair in the shower this morning," she captioned an Instagram Story, showing the clump.

Though Trinny didn't go into any details about why she's suddenly experiencing a bout of hair loss, she did go on to say in a later Instagram video that she was "probably worrying for nothing".

Former What Not To Wear host Trinny has spoken about hair struggles in the past, though not particularly hair loss.

"I used to have over-processed, broken off, thin hair," she told Instagram followers back in 2018, before dishing the secrets on how she's managed to get thicker-looking tresses using an elaborate supplement routine.

Earlier this year Trinny announced that she caught coronavirus after caring for sick loved ones. The illness apparently left her feeling horrible, and "not up for chatting" for quite a while.

It's not listed as a primary symptom of COVID-19, but there have been new studies which link the virus to resulting in hair loss - commonly in women.

The study, published in the medical journal The Lancet, notes that apparently nearly a quarter of COVID-19 patients suffer from hair loss within six months of infection.

"Scientists are still working to fully understand the way that COVID-19 attacks the body, but it's clear that it prompts a strong response from the immune system," explains Simone Thomas, leading hair loss consultant and founder of Simone Thomas Wellness.

"The hair is not vital for the body to function, it's a cosmetic feature, so when our bodies are under attack or running on empty, it's one of the first things to be impacted. You will find the hair growth cycle is disrupted, sometimes stopping altogether."
