Aberdeen have announced the hiring of Allan Russell as the club completes its three-pronged new management staff under the leadership of Stephen Glass.
© England national team coach Allan Russell has joined Aberdeen as a member of their management staff.... The striking coach of the England national team, who will keep his role with Gareth Southgate's men, follows Celtic captain Scott Brown in joining Glass' staff at Pittodrie.
Former Dons favourite Glass was announced as successor to Derek McInnes last month and immediately went about convincing his two main targets to join him.
Aberdeen in a statement spoke of their "excitement" at recruiting someone with such experience working with high-calibre players.
Russell told the Aberdeen website: "I am delighted to be joining Aberdeen Football Club at such an exciting time. I look forward to working with Stephen, Scott and the rest of the coaching staff and players to move the Club to the next level."
Glass added: "This is a significant appointment for the Club and Allan's expertise will be hugely beneficial for both myself, the staff and the players."
