Everton midfield talent Rhys Hughes is attracting interest from the Championship following a breakout season at under-23 level.
Hughes, 19, was selected for the Welsh under-21 squad for the first time during the current international break after scoring twice and creating five more in 18 Premier League 2 appearances this term.
Everton could sanction a loan move next summer or wait until the January transfer window as they did earlier this year with striker Ellis Simms, who is impressing at Blackpool.
Hughes, a set-piece specialist, can play anywhere across the middle of the park and has also been used in wide positions by David Unsworth this term with the U-23s eighth in the Premier League 2 table.
The teenager captained Everton at under-18 level and the ECHO was told the club were 'chuffed' by the progress he made under Paul Tait last term before breaking into the U-23s.
Hughes is contracted until 2022 at Goodison Park.
