But now it's official: Aldridge won't play for the Spurs as he and the team agreed to part ways, giving him a chance to be dealt by the March 25 trade deadline or to be bought out if San Antonio can't agree to a deal.
Aldridge is obviously past his prime but he's still very valuable if he's another team's stretch five - remember, he started hitting threes last season and he's hit 36 percent from deep this year.
