Investigators believe an elderly Scottish woman who was discovered dead last month in Aberdeen may have been dead for up to 12 years.
Christina Malley's body was found Feb. 25 in her home after she didn't show up for a COVID vaccine appointment, the Scotsman reported. She would have been in her 80s.
Nurses went to the house to check on Malley, but her husband said she wasn't home, according to Scottish media reports. However, her body was later found inside.

Neighbors said they'd never seen or heard of Malley, the Scotsman reported. They only ever noticed the man coming and going from the flat.
Police classified Malley's death as unexplained and are investigating the case further, according to the Scotsman.
Cops still don't know exactly when and how she died, but estimate it could have happened as early as 2009.
