An Australian woman has revealed her clever hack for making an egg sandwich in a matter of seconds.

The woman simply takes two hard-boiled eggs, a spoon-full of aioli, some herbs and some salt and pepper and puts them in a plastic zip-lock bag.

She then zips the top of the bag up and crushes the ingredients with her hands.

Once the smashed egg mixture is smooth she cuts a hole in the corner of the plastic bag and pipes it onto a slice of toast.

She then places a piece of toast on top, cuts the sandwich into two large triangles and shows off the inside to the camera.

And the video has been very popular - with over 138k likes and thousands of comments.  

'I have never wanted an egg-salad sandwich so bad in my life,' one woman said. 

The video is captioned simply with 'lifehack' and was posted by Russozzie, a TikTok star who considers herself a 'professional life-hacker' with 11,000 followers.

'I am actually not against this, I need more time,' one man said.

'Bye, I am going to go make egg sandwiches for the rest of my life,' said another. 

Others commented on the thread to slam the woman's use of plastic bags.

'This is so wasteful, don't do this,' one man said.

'You don't need to be doing this, it is wasteful. Some people care about our earth,' one woman said. 

Others said the bag can easily be washed and used again, despite being cut. 

'If you are going to take time to was a plastic bag then just wash the bowl, it is easier and better for the environment.'

Another shared an insight as the where they had seen the method before.

'I worked in a jail for 15 years - inmates do this, I will use a bowl,' he said. 

Some people were concerned the recipe called for raw eggs, and that it had egg shell inside.

'That looks like salmonella on toast, one person said.

'Bro, it has eggshells in it, gross,' said another. 

Another woman says she uses the trick for banana and avocado for her toddler. 

Some people suggested the ingredients needed to include pickles, relish, chives and onions.
