English Heritage has revealed plans to have opened over 60 of its sites from March 29, in line with England's lockdown roadmap.
Under the roadmap, March 29 is when the 'stay at home' order will be lifted, and outdoor gatherings of up to six people or two households will be allowed.
English Heritage will reopen over 50 sites on this date such as historic gardens, beautiful grounds and even a battlefield, with popular spots including Chesters Roman Fort along Hadrian's Wall, Tintagel Castle, Wrest Park and Brougham Castle.
The organisation closed its properties and sites in December 2020 in line with lockdown, although it has kept 10 sites open for locals to be able to exercise (pre-booking required).

Any visitors will need to pre-book tickets if they're planning to visit a site, regardless of whether they are an English Heritage member or not.
It's worth noting that Stonehenge won't reopen until at least April 12, in line when the government says that 'outdoor attractions' can open.
It's a similar situation for any self-catered holiday cottages offered by English Heritage - 'self-contained' accommodation is only able to reopen from April 12 provided there are no shared indoor facilities.

Indoor attractions and homes are set to reopen from May 17 in line with government guidance, and summer events will be unveiled in time for June 21 when the government is looking to remove all legal limits on social contact..
