A Florida corrections officer may end up on the other side of the jail bars.
Alicia Hathaway, who works at the Lake County Detention Center, was arrested Friday and charged with battery after she allegedly slapped an inmate across the face, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
The handcuffed inmate, who has not been publicly identified, reportedly cursed at Hathaway on Jan. 21, at which point the corrections officer slapped her in response.
