June Mummery told Express.co.uk that Britain's success in rolling out the coronavirus vaccine compared to other EU nations could lead to other countries realising the benefits of leaving the trading bloc. The former Brexit Party MEP named France and the Netherlands as countries that may look to leave the bloc.

Asked if Brexit would make other nations more likely to quit the bloc, Mummery said: "Yeah definitely, France will quit the bloc. Holland, possibly.
"I think after this vaccine situation and the lack of preparedness on their side, I think many more will follow.
"The UK will lead the way, if we go back to the vaccines look at how we are performing and how clever we are, what a wonderful country we can be.
"I think we will go from strength to strength.

She added: "Hopefully, lots of other countries will leave the EU and we can get our waters back eventually."
However, during the same interview, the former MEP stated that Boris Johnson "sacrificed" the UK's fishing industry and coastal communities to get Brexit done.
Ms Mummery stated that the post-Brexit free trade agreement Bors Johnson agreed with the European Union, "gave everything away" on fishing.
The former Brexit Party spokesperson on fishing also lambasted the UK's failure to secure the 12 miles of "territorial waters" for Britain's fishing sector.

"They did not even negotiate that so to me, I don't think the negotiations were good.
"I think David Frost all in all was good but at the end of the day, he used us to get Brexit done."
The UK agreed to the post-Brexit trade agreement with the European Union on Christmas Eve 2020.
The post-Brexit transition period between Britain and the trading bloc expired on December 31 2020.
