Retweeting images of Steven Gerrard celebrating in the Rangers dressing room as fans flocked around the Ibrox windows, Jones wrote "Enjoy every minute #55" as well as heart emojis in red and blue and a union flag.
The Northern Ireland international moved to Sunderland in January until the end of the season having played just four times for Rangers this term. He was suspended for seven games for breaching Covid rules in November.
Rangers need just one more point to make mathematically certain of a 55th league title - a decade since their last title triumph under Walter Smith in 2011.
