Mariah Carey is being sued by her older brother Morgan for writing in her memoir that he was violent.
Mariah, 51, wrote in her memoir The Meaning of Mariah Carey: 'It took twelve cops to pull my brother and father apart. The big bodies of men, all entangled like a swirling hurricane, crashed loudly into the living room.
'I was a little girl with very few memories of a big brother who protected me.
'More often, I felt I had to protect myself from him, and sometimes I would find myself protecting my mother from him too.'
Morgan, 61, is now suing her, claiming the book makes him sound violent and alleging that some of it is untrue, according to TMZ.

In another part of the book, Maria wrote: 'Suddenly there was a loud, sharp noise, like an actual gunshot.
'My brother had pushed my mother with such force that her body slammed into the wall, making a loud cracking sound.'
He says it's a lie and that multiple people witnessed the 'deep affection' he had for his mother before her death in 1973.
Mariah has not responded to the lawsuit and it's unclear how much Morgan is seeking to gain from it.
She has previously fought legal battles with their sister, Alison.
Alison recently filed a lawsuit seeking damages from her famous sister for 'emotional distress'.
In her memoir, Mariah wrote that Alison once threw boiling water on her, gave her valium and 'pimped her out'.
Alison says none of the allegations are true. She is now seeking $1.25million from the singer.

Alison called Mariah 'heartless, vindictive, vicious and despicable,' in her book.
In November, Morgan told The Sun that he was planning to sue, saying: 'In the book she also claims Morgan was hired to kill someone for $30,000, but never went through with the job.
'It's heartbreaking to witness my little sister's descent into this hatefully delusional revisionist rant because it is so reminiscent of her unhinged behavior during her first breakdown.
'The so-called "memoir" is laden with lies, distortions and gross revisionism from beginning to end, and I can prove it.
'When I reveal the truth, the facts and supporting evidence, it will be a very harsh pill for she and her publishers to swallow and rest assured I will be filing a lawsuit.'

I never would have spoken about my family at all had they not done it first'
