The nearly-seven year battle between Sofia Vergara and her ex over frozen embryos appears to be over.

A judge permanently blocked her ex, Nick Loeb, from using them with a surrogate without the "Modern Family" star's consent, which she doesn't ever plan on giving.

The embryo battle has been going on ever since Sofia and Nick split in 2014. After that, Nick fought for years - in multiple states - to gain control of two frozen embryos from the duo's 2013 IVF treatments. He even set up a trust for them under Louisiana law, despite the fact that he has no ties to The Pelican State. He even gave them names in court papers, reports indicate.

Earlier this year, Nick lost an appeal in Louisiana over the embryos, as the court claimed it was blatantly obvious that he filed for custody there due to the favorable laws towards unborn children.

The new ruling, according to TMZ, said that a contract signed by both Sofia and Nick in 2013 remains valid, and in that paperwork, both parents have to agree to bring the embryos to term.

Now that Nick has been shot down in both Louisiana and California, he's basically at the end of the line.

Nick has a daughter with a girlfriend who lives in Europe, Page Six said. Sofia married Joe Manganiello in 2015. She has one adult child from a previous relationship.
