Plenty of Celtic supporters have been reacting to a transfer update on striker Odsonne Edouard.

The 23-year-old is out of contract in 2022 and was thought to be happy to wait until the summer to seal a Glasgow exit. The Hoops had slashed his asking price from £40m to £25m during the winter window, however, he remained at Celtic Park past the latest deadline.

And now, according to the Scottish Daily Mail, cited by HITC, Arsenal and Aston Villa are both considering summer moves for the Frenchman. The report adds that AS Roma and Leciester City are leading the way for Edouard's services, with a fee of around £20m being touted.

Edouard has scored 20 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions this season, with his latest coming in the 1-0 win over Aberdeen on Saturday.

Celtic Now And Forever cited HITC's report on Monday, which made its way onto the Celtic News Now Facebook page shortly after.

This is what these Hoops fans had to say in reply to the post regarding the in-demand forward, with plenty keen to get their strong views across.

John Lynch: He needs to go he is too lazy and content to pick up the odd penalty and tap in which will get him roughly 20 goals a season and keep him in the shop window.

Eddie Coyle: Bid away.

Anthony Ashworth: Well if Ollie McBurnie cost Sheffield 17.5 million rising to 20 million Eddy must be worth at least 60/70 million.

Keith Dunwoodie: 40% to PSG, so it's gonna have to be over £25m considering we paid £9m for him.

Stevie Hughes: Defo should get 25 for him can't keep selling our best players n replacing them with inferior to be fair we've done well with our strikers but we haven't invested in our defence n that's where our problems have been all season

Alex Murray: We should definitely stop selling players under priced!! I always said we were robbed with KT and I have been proved right, Man U paid 55 mill for Wan Bissaka and he could lace KT's boots, just because Eddie hasn't been at his best this season doesn't mean he hasn't got gears to go up!!! We should still be looking for 25-30 for him!!! Because guaranteed in another year you won't be able to buy him for 60!!!

Martin Oneill: Hopefully he keeps scoring till the end of the season to get a reasonable price for that young man
