Margot Robbie has taken aim at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for their lack of black members, following Sunday's 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards.

In two Instagram Stories posts, the Australian actress, 30, who was a presenter at the ceremony, implored the Association to make 'real change'.

Alongside a headline referencing the diversity issue, she wrote: 'Real change means not just standing on stage and saying it, but actually doing it.

'We look forward to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association staying true to their promise'.

The Bird of Prey actress added the hashtag #timesupglobes which was being widely used on Sunday.

In a second Instagram Story, she shared a post from the Time's Up organisation, which read: 'Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Not a single black member out of 87. Times up'.

Margot is just one of several celebrities who have taken aim at the Globes for lack of diversity.

Hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler ripped the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for having no black members during their Golden Globes monologue to crowds mostly filled with first responders on Sunday.

The comedians then took aim at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association who has been under fire this week for the lack of black journalists amid the 87 members.

'The Hollywood Foreign Press Association is made up of around 90 international - no black - journalists who attend movie junkets each year in search of a better life,' Fey said.

She added that 'a number of black actors and black-led projects were overlooked'.

'We all know award shows are stupid... the point is, even with stupid things, inclusivity is important and there are no black members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. I realize, HFPA you may not have gotten the memo because your workplace is the back booth of a French McDonald's, but you got to change that.'

Poehler chimed in adding she is 'looking forward to that change.'

Sacha Baron Cohen also raised the issue as he accepted the awards for Best Actor in a musical or comedy, as well as Best Comedy or Musical for Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, via video link from his adopted home of Sydney.

'Thank you to the all-white Hollywood Foreign Press,' he began his speech, before joking that Rudy Giuliani was the breakout 'comical genius' of the film.
