Gordon Ramsay's Bank Balance was panned by viewers this evening, some of whom switched off as they branded it a "rip off" of Million Pound Drop.
The usually sweary celebrity chef, 54, returned to screens with a brand new quiz show on the BBC which left viewers a little puzzled.
Its format saw a pair of contestants answer various questions so that they can place stacks of gold bars on a Balance Board.
The more bars they were able to build up, the more they were be able to win - which can escalate to a prize pot of £100,000.

While another wrote: "*switches off* #BankBalance."

"#BankBalance had enough already switching off this c**p!" another raged.

Another lamented: "#BankBalance an hour of my life i will never get back the auditions must of asked for annoying, loud, talk a lot about nothing in particular, I'm off now to take some paracetamol."
