Shelby American announced a new offering based on Ford's F-250 Super Duty on Wednesday. Dubbed the F-250 Super Baja, it combines the immense torque from the company's 6.7-liter Powerstroke turbo-diesel V-8 with a custom Fox Racing suspension, fender flares, and massive 37-inch all-terrain tires.

The Super Baja was the result of customer demand for a bigger truck that could perform Raptor-like feats with F-150 Super Snake speed while being able to tow, according to Shelby."The astounding capabilities of the Ford Shelby F-150 truck led to requests for a three-quarter-ton truck that delivered maximum towing capacity and serious off-road capabilities," Shelby American president Gary Patterson said in a statement."We leveraged expertise gained from our Shelby Raptor and Shelby F-150 programs to create the Shelby F-250 Super Baja pickup."

The 475-horsepower, 1050-lb-ft of torque powertrain is unmodified, though considering the performance, we're not surprised to see Shelby leave it untouched. The real upgrades come in the suspension. The Fox Racing setup adds height, travel, and off-road handling prowess. There are adjustable reservoirs front and rear paired with custom front radius arms and a dual steering stabilizer. Supporting the setup are 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich KM3 tires.

The fender flares aren't the only cosmetic modifications on the Super Baja. There's also a functional ram-air hood, power-coated front and rear bumpers, extra LED lighting, rock sliders, a bed liner, and powder-coated exhaust tips. Oh, and of course, Shelby stripes and badges everywhere. Inside, occupants are greeted with leather seats, stainless steel gauges, and custom carbon-fiber trim.

Shelby is building 250 Super Bajas, priced from $125,805 including the cost of a Lariat Ultimate 4x4 Ford F-250 Super Duty donor vehicle. And because there aren't any engine modifications, the three-year/36,000 factory powertrain warranty remains intact.
