A fashion stylist has sent women racing to buy a pair of ultra-flattering jeans that make legs look longer and can be worn with any style of top.

Canberra blogger 'This is Genevieve' sparked a rush on the high-waisted 'mum' fit jeans from Zara after wearing them in a series of outfit photos on Instagram.

Genevieve paired the pants - which are available for $69.95 online and in stores across Australia - with a button front white shirt from Kmart and block-heeled sandals from Spurr in a post about autumn and winter ensembles.

Followers were quick to rave about the jeans, with many vowing to buy them on their next payday.

'These jeans look so fab on you,' one woman wrote.

'The jeans!' added a second, while a third said they made Genevieve's legs look 'miles' long.

The pants, which can be styled for casual or occasion wear, would look chic with a $15 Kmart T-shirt that was recently hailed as the perfect foundation for any outfit.

Sydney stylist Tina Abeysekara, who is known for her eye for affordable clothing, recently built three looks around the 'Short Sleeved T-Shirt', which is sold online and in stores across Australia in black and white.

Ms Abeysekara said her first look, which features a leopard print midi-skirt, beige heels and a matching bag, could be worn to a job interview, the office or a night on the town.

She described her second look - which features denim jeans, sandals and a drawstring pouch bag - as perfect for working from home or a casual weekend lunch.

Tina's third look, which features loose linen shorts, an over-sized basket bag and white tennis shoes, is what she calls 'holiday mode' - ideal for a day at the beach or strolling around a park.

Photos of the outfits, which have amassed 3,595 'likes' since they were uploaded to Instagram on January 4, have drawn dozens of grateful responses.

Many thanked Tina for showing them it is possible to look stylish without splashing out on expensive clothing.

'Yes, this is great and exactly what I need! Love the idea,' one woman replied.

A second said she loved the T-shirt and was impressed by how different Tina had made it look by pairing it with different accessories.
