Popular cartoon series The Powerpuff Girls is getting a live-action reboot, The CW Network announced earlier this week.
And Today show entertainment reporter Brooke Boney revealed an interesting detail about the animated program while reporting the news on Thursday.
She noted that the main setting of The Powerpuff Girls is a city called Townsville - which was presumably a generic name invented by the show's creators, but happens to be an actual city in northeastern Queensland.

'I love it!' Karl declared.
Brooke then confessed she was a big fan of the original Powerpuff Girls series and 'can't wait' for the live-action reboot.
