Celtic striker Albian Ajeti has been charged by the SFA over the penalty incident against Kilmarnock.

Ajeti tumbled under pressure from Killie keeper Colin Doyle during the Scottish Premiership match at Rugby Park on Tuesday night.

The incident in the second half led to Odsonne Edouard stepping up to score the second goal in the 4-0 rout.

A panel of three former grade one referees reviewed footage of the flashpoint and the Celtic striker now faces a two-match suspension.

Celtic have the right to appeal the verdict, which could go to fast-track hearing on February 8.

The players has been cited by the governing body under the rule stating: "No player shall cause a match official to make an incorrect decision and/or support an error of judgment on the part of a match official by an act of simulation which results in that player's team obtaining a Substantial Advantage."

Skipper Scott Brown will face no further action after he had appeared to catch Tshibola on the chin as the pair lined-up for a throw-in in the first half of the Hoops' 4-0 win.
