Kylie Minogue 'engaged' to Welsh boyfriend Paul Solomons

Kylie Minogue is engaged to her Welsh boyfriend Paul Solomons, his step mother has reportedly confirmed.

The Australian popstar, 52, has been dating GQ Creative Director Solomons, 46, since 2018.

Yesterday, actor Billie Piper appeared to let the cat out of the bag when she referred to Solomons as Kylie's "fiancé" in an interview with ELLE UK.

Today, Mr Solomons' stepmother Gloria told Mail Online she was "thrilled" the pair were engaged.

Speaking from the family home in the South Wales, Gloria said: "She's very nice. I'm thrilled they're engaged. It's very exciting."

She continued: "But, I'm sorry, I cannot tell you any more because I've been told not to. I respect my son and I respect Kylie too much to say any more."

She added she didn't know where - or when - the wedding will take place. 

Minogue's representatives have been contacted for comment.

Love At First Sight singer Minogue last discussed her relationship with Solomons on day time show Lorraine.

When asked asbout the boyfriend, the star said: "He is so nice. He is probably not watching, I am sure he is at work. We have a laugh. We have both been through enough in our lives and just met at the right time, so it's lovely."

But when the host asked if she had any plans to marry her partner, Minogue avoided the question while exclaiming: "Lorraine!"

Minogue, who shot to fame on Australian soap opera Neighbours, was previously engaged to Australian star Joshua Sasse. They split in 2017.

The singer has previously dated French actor Olivier Martinez, INXS frontman Michael Hutchence, model Andres Velencoso and Neighbours co-star Jason Donovan. 

Solomons and Minogue - who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 aged 36, were reportedly introduced in February 2018 through mutual friends.

They kept their relationship a secret until The Sun revealed they were dating in April that year.

At the time, a source said: "Kylie is in no rush to get into a serious relationship but she's certainly enjoying the attention.

"It's no secret she was left feeling very bruised and vulnerable after her break-up.

"She needed time by herself to get over it. Now she feels ready to move on."

In July, the singer finally confirmed the romance by sharing a photograph of the couple embracing on a New York rooftop.

Speaking on the Jonathan Ross Show in November 2018, the popstar admitted she was surprised to have fallen in love again.

She said: "It's going great, it's fabulous. Just when you think that 'will it ever happen?' and it came and surprised me."
