Billy Dodds reckons Rangers wrapping up the title by beating Celtic at Parkhead would be the icing on the cake for Steven Gerrard's "relentless" side.
Wednesday night's 1-0 win over St Johnstone moved the Ibrox men to within 17 points of their first top flight success in a decade.
And with a trip across Glasgow to face Celtic coming in six games' time then there's a very real possibility they could finally end their arch rivals' dream of 10-in-a-row history in their very own back yard.
That fixture comes on March 20 and should Rangers complete the job in the east end then it would be the earliest the title has been won in the Scottish Premier League era.
Before then Rangers face rips to Hamilton and Livingston as well as home games against Kilmarnock, Dundee United and St Mirren.
And Dodds said: "It would be an added bonus to win the title at Celtic Park, I'm not going to deny that.

"But the main thing is just to win it.
"Of course they would like to do it against their bitter rivals but let's be honest, as soon as they get the title done then that's the pressure off because that's all they set out to do - to stop 10 in a row.
"And of course win their first title in 10 seasons."
Wednesday's win over St Johnstone maintained Gerrard 's side's incredible unbeaten league run, winning 24 and drawing three of their 27 games so far.
They've also got a 100 per cent record at Ibrox where they've conceded only one goal.
Dodds - who won the league and Scottish Cup double with Gers in 2000 - told Sky Sports: "Rangers have just been relentless in the way they've gone about it.
"Whether they win games comprehensively or if they have a tight game like Wednesday night but they still find a way to win all three points."
