Rihanna's Fenty Beauty has topped a list of celebrity-owned beauty brands.
With so many stars entering the world of beauty by launching their own skincare, fragrance or make-up ranges, this is a hotly contested list.
However, new data from Tribe Dynamics shows that Rihanna is the clear winner despite the onslaught of new launches last year, reports WWD. According to the data, Fenty Beauty raked in more than $555,000,000 (£403,000,000), while Kylie Jenner's Kylie Cosmetics claimed second place with $187,000,000 (£136,000,000).
"The celebrity brands that are doing really well leverage beyond their celebrity to create that excitement, and they give people more than just the recognition and glamour to engage with," explains Brit McCorquodale, senior vice president of revenue at Tribe. "It has always been incredibly important for a brand to stand for something, to be about something bigger than just the products they put out. We've really seen that extend in a meaningful way into brand values."
Fenty Beauty has long championed diversity, Lady Gaga's Haus Laboratories celebrates self-expression, Jessica Alba's Honest Beauty delivers on clean ingredients and Rare Beauty - recently launched by singer/actress Selena Gomez - is sparking conversations about mental health issues.
