This week's edition of Historic Goals features Ricardo Carvalho. The defender joined the club from Chelsea in the 2010/11 season and is fondly remembered as a solid and quick defender, who dominated the aerial battles and read the game well.

In the 2010/11 league season, Real Madrid hosted Levante at the Santiago Bernabéu on matchday 24. A free-kick into the box by Cristiano Ronaldo was superbly headed into the net by Carvalho to put the hosts 2-0 ahead.

Carvalho played for the Whites for three seasons, making 77 appearances and scoring 3 goals. As a Real Madrid player he won 1 LaLiga title, 1 Copa del Rey and 1 Spanish Super Cup.
