Games are expensive, and that's never been truer than in 2021: Sony first-party games are set to increase across the board, and some third-party publishers like 2K and Activision are following suit. Two shiny (but expensive) new consoles are now available in the PS5 and Xbox Series X, and it's rumoured that a new Nintendo Switch upgrade will release some time this year. This is an expensive hobby.
On this page you'll find a regularly updated list of the best gaming deals in Australia, ranging consoles, games and peripherals. While it's true that games are getting more expensive, it's also true that there's never been more retail competition in Australia: trusty outlets like JB Hi-Fi and EB Games now have Amazon Australia to contend with, not to mention eBay, Big W, Target, and a range of other online outlets. We'll do our best to ensure that the prices published here are the very lowest you can get, though we'll be avoiding secondhand goods and grey market key sellers.

© Provided by GamesRadar Fire Emblem: Three Houses for Nintendo Switch | AU$59 (usually AU$79.95)
A nice AU$20.95 off this sprawling tactical RPG, which got a rave five star review in these parts. "Fire Emblem: Three Houses fully realizes a new, meaningful direction for the franchise that makes it the best it has ever been," Aron wrote.

© Provided by GamesRadar Watch Dogs: Legion (PS4, PS5, Xbox One/S/X) | AU$58 (usually $99.95)
Only a couple of months since launch, this is a decent saving on this open-world hack 'em up, albeit not as cheap as we've seen it before (AU$48). Come for the dystopian post-Brexit London, stay for the leisurely cargo drone rides. The discount is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox One/S/X editions.View Deal
© Provided by GamesRadar Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PS5 | AU$75 (RRP AU$94.95)
This evades Sony's AU$125 RRP for PS5 games, mostly because it's a standalone expansion for Spider-Man, rather than a brand new 50+ hour adventure. Maybe AU$75 is more tempting? If you want to see ray tracing on PS5, this is among the best implementations of the tech. View Deal
© Provided by GamesRadar Demon's Souls on PS5 | AU$108 (RRP AU$124.95)
This still ain't cheap, but it's cheaper than RRP and other retailers. It's an exceptionally pretty (albeit very ominous looking) game, and we've only seen it go under AU$100 during Amazon's Boxing Day sales.View Deal
© Provided by What Hi-Fi? The Last of Us 2 on PS4 | AU$54 on Amazon (usually AU$99.95)
The biggest game of 2020 was AU$49 a couple of weeks ago, but this is still a decent deal. There's no word of a PS5 upgrade yet, but this will still run on your next-gen console, and basically qualifies as a new-gen game given how pretty it is.View Deal

© Provided by GamesRadar Nintendo Switch | AU$399 (usually AU$469, save AU$70)
If you missed out during the Boxing Day sales, you can snap up the Nintendo Switch from Amazon and save a nice AU$70 at the moment - enough to pick up a game or two as well, since this doesn't come bundled with any. Also available in Neon or Grey.View Deal
© Provided by GamesRadar Nintendo Switch Lite (Grey) | AU$298 on Amazon (usually AU$329.95)
We've seen it cheaper (most recently during the Boxing Day sales) but if you're keen on a portable-only Switch, this is decent value.
