Grocery stores are now officially stocked with Coca-Cola's new ready-to-drink coffee soda and its three flavors-Dark Blend, Vanilla, and Caramel. (Related: 108 Most Popular Sodas Ranked By How Toxic They Are.)

News broke of Coca-Cola with Coffee last summer, but the 100% Brazilian coffee mixed with the classic soda isn't widely available until now. Also launching on Jan. 25 for the first time ever is the Coca-Cola with Coffee Zero Sugar edition in Dark Blend and Vanilla, according to the company.

"This is a truly unique hybrid innovation that will pioneer a new category we're calling refreshment coffee," the vice president of Coca-Cola North America, Jaideep Kibe, said in a statement. "Coca-Cola With Coffee is a product that is meant to be tried.Because when you take that first sip, you realize there's nothing quite like it. It sips like a Coke and finishes like a coffee."

Quite a few people have been able to experience this new breakfast soda thanks to a testing period in Japan in 2018, followed by rollouts in Australia, Brazil, Vietnam, Turkey, and Italy.

"In preliminary consumer testing, more than 80% of consumers who tried Coca-Cola® With Coffee said they would buy it," Kibe added. "And in presentations with several of our major retailers and grocery chains, our customers would take a sip and immediately ask, 'When can we have this?'"

What's in the new Coca-Cola with Coffee?

The new combo seems to be the best of both worlds, but recent scientific findings say not so much. A nutrient in both coffee and soda can also potentially lead to kidney stones, a new study recently discovered.

Each 12-ounce can has 69 milligrams of caffeine, which is a little bit less than a regular cup of coffee, but more than the 34 milligrams found in a can of regular Coca-Cola. According to Brand Eating, it also contains 70 calories, and three sweeteners-sugar, sucralose, and acesulfame potassium. This combination isn't the best one to start off the day with. Sucrose can mess with appetite-regulating hormones, a new study finds, making you hungry sooner.
