Janelle Monáe's Antebellum has finally landed a UK release date, as Sky Cinema announces its huge 2021 slate.

The thriller, which teases a big yet controversial twist, was one of many films pulled from their original theatrical release dates amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

In August, it was announced Antebellum would forego the cinema altogether in favour of a VOD release.

And, on Monday (January 25), Sky Cinema confirmed it will make the movie available to its viewers from April - alongside 29 other original feature films in its biggest ever line-up.

Antebellum follows best-selling author and sociologist Veronica Henley (Monáe), whose ties to a Civil War-era enslaved woman called Eden (also played by Monáe), lead to the uncovering of a chilling secret.
