Zayn Malik has been secretly inked with the name of his baby daughter.
The 28-year-old singer and girlfriend Gigi Hadid welcomed their first child in September, and managed to keep the tot's name under wraps for months, until the model finally shared the moniker on her Instagram bio.
"khai's mom," the 25-year-old simply wrote.
After the subtle announcement, eagle-eyed fans also noticed that Malik had debuted a new tattoo of Khai's name in Arabic during an Instagram Live session.
According to editors at Page Six, the ink dedicated to the four-month-old is on the singer's wrist, and written in red ink.
The name has Arabic origins, and while usually given to boys, it means "crowned" or "royalty". It's also been suggested that Khai is a tribute to Hadid's paternal grandmother, whose name is Khairiah, and could also be a nod to her younger sister Bella Hadid, whose middle name is Khair.
The model has gushed about motherhood in several posts on social media, sharing sweet snaps of her baby daughter with her face carefully hidden.
"A whole new kind of busy & tired, but she's da bestie so she got Christmas decorations early," Hadid wrote alongside a series of snaps from the festive season, including one of her carrying the tot in a baby carrier.
