(Reuters) - Australian shares were seen inching lower on Friday, tracking a soft finish on Wall Street, where investors weighed hopes for fresh fiscal stimulus from the United States against a weakening labour market.
The local share price index futures fell 0.1%, a 71.3-point discount to the underlying S&P/ASX 200 index close. The benchmark rose 0.4% on Thursday.
New Zealand's benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index was roughly flat at 13,108.77 points by 2121 GMT.
