How are cruelty-free and vegan makeup brushes different?
One of the biggest reasons for swapping to vegan makeup brushes is the fact that the bristles don't contain animal hair. Just like non-vegan options, these are high quality brush sets, which are used by many makeup artists in the bizz.
According to PETA, these are the benefits of using a synthetic brush instead of an option made with animal hair:
. They're easier to clean.
. They repel bacteria and dirt better than animal hair does.
. Many people have allergies to animal hair.
. They shed less, if at all.
. They work with both cream and powder makeup products.

One celebrity makeup line that is cruelty free is of course - Rihanna's Fenty Beauty.
It's the brand that launched 40 (they now have more) shades and shook the makeup world so no wonder they're cruelty free and have a range of vegan products.
On the Fenty Beauty website they've explained, "Fenty Beauty is cruelty-free and never tests on animals, nor do we allow suppliers or affiliates to conduct animal testing on our behalf.
"While the majority of the products are free of animal byproducts, Fenty Beauty is not considered a vegan line: A handful of our products may contain ingredients of animal origin, such as beeswax and carmine.
"The following products are considered vegan-friendly: Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation, Match Stix Matte Skinsticks, Invisimatte Blotting Powder, Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer, and our Brushes & Tools."
