Gennadiy Golovkin retained his IBF middleweight belt via technical knockout against Kamil Szeremeta after the seventh round on Friday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

After the referee stopped the fight, Golovkin (41-1-1, 36 KOs) registered a record-breaking 21st middleweight title defense as a result of the dominant victory.

The 38-year-old champion knocked down Szeremeta (21-1-0, five KOs) four times during the match. The latter suffered his first professional loss.
