The Xbox Series X debuted on 10th November and sold out within days. Retailers restocked on Black Friday but that batch sold out within minutes. Since then, we've seen several waves of inventory hit the likes of Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Currys and Argos.
To make up for stock shortages, Xbox has made The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim available through the Xbox Game Pass, and is planning to thrown in more award-winning games next month.

When will more Xbox Series X stock arrive?
Microsoft promised gamers "more consoles" on November 10. The tech giant was as good as its word but it seems the launch day stock has now sold out and supply is set to be scare until April 2021.
Speaking at a virtual conference, Xbox's chief financial officer Tim Stuart said: "I think we'll continue to see supply shortages as we head into the post-holiday quarter, so Microsoft's Q3, calendar Q1." (Via IGN).
The good news is that Microsoft has promised to "have supply cranking" by Spring. So there should be plenty of Xboxes to go around by next Summer.
If you're hoping to snap up one up in time for Christmas, we would advise you keep checking the links above. At the time of writing Amazon France has a few Series S units available to buy here. Hurry!
UK retailer the Box restocked on 7th December and 14th December. In the interests of fairness, it ran a ballot system. Winners will be picked at random offered the chance to buy an Xbox Series X or S - details here.
BT customer? The UK-based telecoms giant has announced that gamers can order the Series X or Series S through their existing MyBT account. EE customers, meanwhile, can spread the cost of a Series X or Series S, interest-free, by using the Add to Plan service. It's sold out for now, though.
If you live in the US, Walmart, Best Buy and the Microsoft Store are your best bets. Best Buy recently restocked on 15th December. It's offering some of the first Xbox bundles, too.
Got an Xbox One? Did you know you can buy the new Xbox on the Microsoft Store app for Xbox One? It's worth a shot.
Finally, StockX has plenty of units for sale (it's basically an upmarket eBay, where items are checked over by the company before being listed online). You'll need to prepared to pay more than the MSRP, though. Buyers are currently asking around $400 for the Series S and $700 for the Series X. You'll also want to make sure the console has the right plug for your region.
Some stockists offer you the option to register your interest, and will alert you when stock arrives. It's also a good idea to follow retailers' social media accounts. UK retailer Game and US chain Walmart have both previously announced incoming Xbox stock via the medium of Twitter.
Still wondering what all the excitement is about? The Xbox Series X and Series S are expected to herald a new generation of 4K game experiences. They're also the first consoles to support both Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos.
