More states and territories are reacting to the COVID-19 cluster which has emerged in Sydney's Northern Beaches, imposing various restrictions such as self-quarantine requirements.

The Northern Beaches' cluster grew to 17 cases on Thursday, with New South Wales Health issuing an alert for residents to follow a number of public health measures over the next three days.

Queensland is requiring anyone already in the state who has been at Sydney's Northern Beaches to self-quarantine for 14 days, while anyone who arrives from 1am on Saturday will be sent to hotel quarantine.
