Former Strictly Come Dancing star Kevin Clifton has revealed what professional dancers "fight against" on the show.
On Sunday (December 13), the dancer, who exited the BBC One series earlier this year to pursue other projects, was asked by a fan on Twitter about who decides which dances the couples are given each week.
In response, Kevin said it is initially up to the producers to suggest a dance, which then becomes "a collaborative conversation" with the professionals.
He also revealed that dancers will "fight against" choices they're not happy with.

"It starts with producers saying 'we're thinking this', then a collaborative conversation starts between them and the pro," Kevin wrote.
"Sometimes a pro will fight against it or suggest something else for example."
In this year's series, Kevin's ex-wife Karen Hauer has made it to the Strictly final for only the second time, alongside her celebrity partner Jamie Laing.

It came at the expense of semi-final casualty Ranvir Singh, who recently shared her disappointment at not being able to "finish" her story after missing out on the chance to compete for the Gliiterball Trophy.
Ranvir's dance partner Giovanni Pernice previously claimed that he and Ranvir "deserve a place" in the final.
Strictly Come Dancing continues this Saturday (December 19) on BBC One. Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, hosted by Zoe Ball and Rylan Clark-Neal, airs Mondays through Fridays at 6.30pm on BBC Two.
