This is the bizarre moment the owner of a bright yellow Ferrari F8 Spider carried a Christmas tree home in his 211mph supercar.

The £225,000 car had its retractable hard top folded down to allow the six-foot tree to stand on the passenger seat as the driver continued along the A58(M) on the outskirts of Leeds.

The footage was captured on a dashcam and the supercar owner took a turning towards the city centre.

Eventually, the Italian car stopped on a residential street.  The driver who filmed it said: 'The car was immaculate so I would not fancy all those pine needles over the upholstery.

'But it is nice to see someone who prizes a real tree so much they were willing to pay for the valet.

'At least, they won't have to bother with the pine scent fragrance afterwards. 'I am not sure if the tree was wearing a seatbelt.

'But it was lucky it was not too windy or the bloke could have been trailing a few needles behind him.'

The F8 replaces the Ferrari 458 and has a more powerful and lighter engine.

The twin-turbo V8 produces a staggering 710bhp at 8,000 RPM which is able to push the car to 60mph in 2.9 seconds, while 120mph takes a little over eight seconds.

This owner appears to have forked out £30,000 for the optional carbon fibre racing wheels with £500 tyres.
