After Bellator women's flyweight champion Ilima-Lei Macfarlane (11-0 MMA, 10-0 BMMA) and challenger Juliana Velasquez (10-0 MMA, 5-0 BMMA) made championship weight, lightweight Goiti Yamauchi hit the scale and missed by a wide margin.
Yamauchi (25-4 MMA, 11-3 BMMA), who was scheduled to fight promotional newcomer Nate Andrews, weighed in at 162.8 pounds, 6.8 over the limit. The fight was later canceled when Andrews (16-3 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) declined a new contract weight.
Originally scheduled for the preliminary card, Davion Franklin (2-0 MMA, 2-0 BMMA) vs. Anthony Garrett (5-2 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) has been elevated to the main card.
The early weigh-ins took place at Mohegan Sun Arena. The same venue hosts Thursday's event, which has a main card on CBS Sports Network/DAZN following prelims on MMA Junkie.
