Take That frontman and singing sensation Gary Barlow shared a throwback photograph of him in his childhood room playing a keyboard and surrounded by musical paraphernalia. This set-up looks remarkably like the one he now has in his current west London pad, which he shares with wife Dawn and their children.

The vintage picture shows Gary sitting at a keyboard, beaming at the camera, clearly enjoying his musical space. To the left of Gary, fans can see more musical equipment and on the wall there is a shelf brimming with cassette tapes. The décor is kept minimal with white walls and dark wood - and there are two maps on the wall.

Gary Barlow shared a cute throwback of him in his childhood room
During the coronavirus pandemic, Gary gave us a glimpse into his home recording studio in west London, which appears to be an upgrade from his former room, but similar nonetheless. Gary has used this studio to hold virtual duets with everyone from Ronan Keating to Niall Horan.

The space contains Gary's computer, a microphone, a lightbox and several keyboards for him to play. The design of the room is modern and minimal, with pale blue walls and a matching lamp - and Gary's desk is a simple wooden structure. Albeit a little more advanced than his childhood set-up, it does suggest Gary's desire for his own recording studio began way back when.

As well as the extensive musical instruments in his home studio, the star has a grand white piano elsewhere in his home. The proud dad couldn't resist sharing a video of his youngest daughter Daisy playing it earlier this year, showing another peek of their luxury abode.
