A number of Liverpool supporters have been left frustrated by yet another injury to Xherdan Shaqiri.
The Swiss has been ruled out of the Reds' matchday squad for their Premier League clash with Leicester City on Sunday evening, as confirmed by The Athletic's James Pearce on Twitter.
Shaqiri could potentially have been handed an opportunity to shine, with Liverpool currently decimated by injuries.
The 29-year-old has done well on occasions this season, producing a superb assist for Diogo Jota in the recent win over West Ham, but chances have been few and far between.
This latest absence is hugely frustrating, however, as he continues to struggle to enjoy an injury-free run in the squad.
Shaqiri joined Liverpool from Stoke City in the summer of 2018, but he has played a bit-part role, at best.
He has only managed 46 Reds appearances in that time, scoring eight times, including a famous double against Manchester United back in 2018/19.
These Liverpool fans have been reacting to Shaqiri's layoff on Twitter.
