Manchester United fans are split on whether they'd like to see Bayern Munich defender Niklas Sule join the club.
With the January transfer window quickly approaching, M.E.N. Sport understands that United are prioritising outgoings, rather than new signings, in the New Year.
It's understood that United have earmarked Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Sergio Romero as potential departures in the upcoming market, while Timothy Fosu-Mensah is also considering his future as his contract expires at the end of the season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer currently has a bloated 31-man squad at his disposal - with Rojo and Romero both being omitted from the Champions League squad, and the goalkeeper also being excluded from the Premier League squad - and won't even need to replace Odion Ighalo when he returns to parent club Shanghai Shenhua due to the arrival of Edinson Cavani.
So it looks like it might be a quiet January for United on the recruitment front but if they do a make a move it would likely be for a centre-back.

United had initially decided against strengthening their back-line this past summer after spending big money on Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka the previous year, but changed their minds following the opening day defeat to Crystal Palace and brought in left-back Alex Telles on deadline day.
It's understood that a new centre-back could be on the agenda in January due to the form and injury troubles suffered by the likes of Eric Bailly, Alex Tuanzebe and Victor Lindelof.
RB Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano has been heavily linked and the latest name to be touted is Bayern's Sule. The towering German's contract expires in 2022 and, according to Bild, he 'dreams' of playing at Old Trafford.
While some fans would like to see the club sign Sule, others are concerned about the 25-year-old's injury record as he's suffered two ACL ruptures already in his career.
January was a successful month for United earlier this year as it brought the arrival of Bruno Fernandes from Sporting.
The midfielder made an instant impact at the club and he has become a fulcrum of the side, scoring 18 goals and providing 13 assists in just 33 games. Ighalo also came in on loan and made a positive impact upon first signing.
