Former "West Wing" star Richard Schiff says he's "determined to find a way to health again" after testing positive for COVID-19.

Schiff, who played fictional White House communications director Toby Ziegler on the long-running NBC political drama, announced his Election Day diagnosis in a Tuesday tweet:

On Election Day I tested positive for Covid-19. This has been the most bizarre week of our lives. @thesheilakelley is also positive. This is tough. We are determined to find a way to health again. We root for everyone out there who are struggling with this thing. Love from here.

Schiff, a vocal critic of President Trump, campaigned for President-elect Joe Biden during this year's White House race.

The 65-year-old actor's battle with COVID-19 comes weeks after several prominent members of the real-life White House's communications team said they had coronavirus.

Trump press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, reportedly along with two assistant press secretaries, said last month she tested positive for COVID-19. President Trump spent three days at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after announcing in October that he and first lady Melania Trump also had the virus.
