Susanna Reid has asked Body Coach Joe Wicks for his best tips and tricks after putting on the "lockdown stone."

On today's Good Morning Britain Susanna said she'd put on the weight during the first lockdown, and fears history repeating itself now that the strict regulations are back.

She and co-host Piers Morgan were chatting with Body Coach and lockdown fitness hero Joe Wicks about keeping healthy when she asked him for advice on tackling naughty cravings.

"I'm going to be battling with the lockdown stone, it went on during lockdown one," she shared.

"I really don't want another one going on during lockdown two. What are the tips you've got for trying to stay healthy and what you put into your body as well?"

Joe ran daily PE lessons during lockdown part I as schools closed, with even adults taking part to get fitter.

He's started them up again since lockdown came back, adding vigorous 6am sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

"The motivation I always say to people isn't going to be at the start of the workout it is going to be at the end of it," Joe remarked.

"It comes down to keeping it simple with the food. Home cooked food, avoiding takeaways, things like drinking wine and cheese that all adds up.

"Keep moving, go for walks and exercise because if you are sedentary and you consume all this extra energy it has nowhere else to go then become body fat."

Susanna last year unveiled the results of her incredible stone-and-a-half weight loss.

"I feel fantastic," she told Prima magazine, "This time last year, I went to the doctor with a skin problem and he told me I could do with losing some weight.

"It turned out I was at the upper end of my BMI and, I have to admit, I'd been feeling a little heavy for a while."

She added: "I've lost a stone and a half since then and I feel fantastic."

Susanna also ditched booze after a bleak warning from a doctor.

She told Sunday Times Magazine : "I gave up because a doctor told me to. I was concerned because my skin was flushed, I kept getting flare-ups and blemishes, and they were leaving red scars.

"I'd tried all manner of creams and washes, but I knew deep down that what was happening to my skin was probably a manifestation of what I was putting into my body."
