Don't Rock the Boat spoilers follow.

The finale of ITV's Don't Rock the Boat saw the Red team crowned winners on Friday night (November 6) after rowing the length of Britain to take home the Golden Oar - and thankfully more careful editing meant that the result wasn't spoiled, unlike an earlier challenge.

Before the teams even hit the water for their last row, they were faced with a terrifying task, especially for those with a fear of heights.

Each team member had to climb down a flimsy-looking rope ladder, which was suspended down the side of a cliff face, and collect a buoy attached to the side of it - each buoy collected meant that team member got a letter from home.

The Blue team won the challenge, which gave them the edge over the Red team in the final row - so they got to pick the first two rowers to go head-to-head with on the very last race.

So, up against Olympic gold medalist Denise Lewis and Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt were Tom Watson and Red Dwarf's Craig Charles (who managed not to vomit this time).

The ladies were miles ahead of the gents and won their seven-mile leg of the race easily, and the whole final leg was awarded to the Blue team.

The Chase's Shaun Wallace said: "It was tough and painful at times, but do you know what takes away the pain? The win."

Later, hosts Freddie Flintoff and AJ Odudu brought the teams together to let them know which team had won the show - and despite the Blue team's huge triumph that day, the Red team were still ahead overall and were crowned winners.

Team Captain Fleur East collected the Golden Oar from the hosts and she was very emotional about the win.

"This is incredible," she said. "This year has been so the lowest year of my life. I was rowing for my dad and every stroke was for him, so honestly it wasn't even about this race, it was for him and it means so much to me."

Don't Rock the Boat airs on ITV.
