LIVERPOOL: SHOULD DIOGO JOTA BE STARTING AHEAD OF ROBERTO FIRMINO?

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has revealed that Diogo Jota was surprised with how many chances his new teammates were creating for him after he completed his transfer from Wolves.
The 23-year-old made a £41m move to Anfield in September and has hit the ground running, scoring six goals in his last four games, including a hat-trick in Tuesday's 5-0 thrashing of Atalanta in the Champions League.
There are now calls for him to start the Reds' huge Premier League clash against Manchester City on Sunday, with suggestions he could be in line to replace Roberto Firmino in the line-up.
In an interview with Esporte Interativo , Alisson was asked how the Portuguese forward had settled in, and was positive in his impressions of the player so far.

"Very well," he replied. "As soon as he arrived, after the first game we talked a little.
"He said 'Wow, there is a lot of chances here in games, right?' I said 'Yeah, the team works very well offensively, it creates chances'.
"I told him 'take the opportunity'. And he is a very hard-working, high-quality guy, down to earth, humble.
"He arrived to help us a lot and proves that our team is not a one-player team. We are a team with a squad, a very strong group."

Despite the fine form of Jota, Alisson insisted Firmino is still just as important as always, and will continue to have a huge impact in the Liverpool side.
"We keep the battles within our team," he added. "The importance of Firmino I don't even need to talk about.
"Everything he's done for the club and everything he's been doing. He's a very supportive player, works for the team, isn't individualistic at all.
"He's helped us a lot so far. So we need everyone for our goals going forward."
